All is well here in Pokhara, and we are feeling refreshed after a long Easter break. The weekend included around eight hours over three services in church, a lunch and a swim at a local hotel to celebrate a friends birthday, and a trek up Sarangkot hill to see the sunrise over the mountains.
The seasons have changed markedly over the last couple of weeks. While the UK has had a dump of snow, temperatures here are rising rapidly and the number of insects in the kitchen seeming to double every night. I also had my first leech bite of the year - much earlier than expected and meaning that some of the best running trails are virtually off limits until October...
Pokhara is a popular place for paragliding, and while walking the other evening we saw some kids who had made their own gliders from sacking material. Their technique was excellent and they were having a great time running with their chutes behind them and leaping off a wall...
